Part Time Evening Manager – Columbus, OH Education Ctr

Position Summary:

The PT Regional Evening Manager provides administrative support to the Regional Dean, and Regional Sites Manager of the Columbus Ohio Education and Conference Center (COEC). This position provides excellent customer service to internal and external constituents; performs clerical duties, such as typing, filing, faxing, and copying; maintains confidential records, such as correspondence, personnel files, budgets, student complaints, and employee evaluations; assists with evening special events; and manages the day-to-day operation of the Front Desk in the evenings and some Saturdays. Position can be physically challenging as part of the responsibility is moving classroom tables and chairs into appropriate configurations each night.

Reporting Relationships:

Reports to the Regional Sites Manager

Education Requirements:

High school diploma required. Prefer some college courses in Business Administration/ Management, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related field.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This is a very physically challenging position at times. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and move heavy tables and chairs repeatedly to change room configurations
Ensures that classrooms are clean and set-up properly for each evening and the following day’s activities
Responsible for simple troubleshooting of faculty, classroom, and student computer issues
Assists evening faculty with copying (e.g. assigning of codes, training, and troubleshooting), telephones, computers, etc.
Greets and assists visitors to the Columbus Ohio Education & Conference Center, including administrators, faculty, staff, students, conference guests, and community members
Answers phones and responds to requests from callers
Serves as primary source of information regarding student and faculty concerns and complaints, including clarification and interpretation of policy, in the evenings and Saturdays

High school degree required. Prefer some college course in Business Administration/ Management, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related field.

An understanding, commitment, and ability to articulate the Christian vision of IWU and inculcate that vision into daily campus operations.

Ability to work collaboratively with administrators, faculty, staff members, and university students to “build bridges” between other departments in the Region and at the Marion Campus.

Possesses good English Language skills, both verbal and written, to communicate effectively with administrators, faculty, staff, students, alumni, community members, and vendors.
